Mr Jeff Cox

So before I go to far and post all the pictures from Texas I feel the need to introduce you to Jeff Cox. The newest member to the Road Trip Crew. So here is the story behind how he came to be here. It may be a bit long but try to bare with me. Here we go.

He's Kurt's Home Teacher!!!! Welcome to the party Jeff. Or should I say "Welcome to Schooner Island"?

6th Street in Austin

Here is just a small sample of the Mayhem that occurred on our trip in Texas. This was a gal at a gas station on 6th street in Austin. I only went in for a pack of gum but got so much more.

Seattle Day #3 Fishin

So on our last day we were all done with the sports events. So Steve was nice enough to take us out on his boat. We went out on the Puget Sound and fished for little "Sharks". Above is Kurt .

Seattle 08' Day #2

Sunday we hit a Mariners game. The Yankees were in town. Mariners won. But we got to see Jeter hit a homerun. The ballpark in Seattle is Awesome!

Here I am above with my "Chaperon".

I forgot to add this one yesterday. We were sitting right by Ty Detmer at the BYU game. Way cool to meet a dude we grew up watching play.

Seattle 08' Day #1

In 2008 it was back up to Seattle. We had been there in 06'. But with Steve still living there it worked out well. There were not any trips that worked with getting NFL and College in. And we felt we needed to be in Seattle since this was the year of "THE Quest" for BYU. Who can forget that. So Friday night we flew out and got to Seattle. We grabbed some food at The Cheesecake Factory with Steve and Teresa and then it was off to the Indian Casino. Here is a quick roll call for this year. Right below you have Big Dave Butler with Bob Tueller.
Above her is Kurt and Almond.
Now this is the part I have some explaining to do. Yes, that is my wife in the picture. And yes this is a "Guy Trip". Try to follow me here. Steve and Teresa (My brother and his wife) lived in Seattle and Ambur had never been up to see them. We knew they were about to move back to SLC so it was now or never if Ambur wanted to come up to see them. Buy that? OK! That is kinda the truth. This blog is about telling the true story, so here is it. I had a bit to much fun on our trip in 07'. A few to many "questionable" stories and a few to many "questionable" photographs made there way back to SLC and this was my version of being grounded. Buy that? You should. It's the truth. So here Ambur is with us on the trip.
On Saturday we headed to the Washington vs BYU game. This was the game where Jake Locker scored a TD in the final seconds of the game then threw the ball in the air and got a penalty. The extra point was then blocked. A huge debate then issued. It was an awesome stadium. Maybe the coolest one I have been in.

Road Trip 07' Day #5 (drive home)

We woke up and were ready to get home to our family's. After a short nights sleep,(Das was in Boston, so all luggage was safe) we ate some breakfast and hit the road. Here we are checking out at the Rio.
Here Chris is crashed. Everyone was dead beat.
Here is Almond out cold.
And last but not least, here is Kurt. He got in this position in Vegas and didn't move the entire ride home. We actually checked his pulse in Beaver to see if he was still alive. This picture was in Nephi when we were gassing up. He may have been sleeping with his eyes open here. HArd to tell.

This is the end of the pictures. Like I said before, this was and still is the mother of all trips. The stories are still being told. I will always have the awesome memories from this trip and am greatful to have been able to go with the guys I did. Good good times!
